Welcome to the Gamma Omicron-at-Large website This site provides you with an even greater ability to network with chapter members, upload photos, share documents, participate in chapter discussions and learn about chapter events. Use the Members Only button for instructions on how to get started.

If you were recently inducted into Gamma Omicron at-Large Chapter, welcome again and please explore www.nursingsociety.org to learn more about the benefits of the organization, such as mentorship programs, continuing education courses at reduced cost, online access to abstracts and articles through the Virginia Henderson Library and e-Repository, and several peer-reviewed journals as well as electronic newsletters that you will be receiving along with your new membership packet of information. We urge you to get involved through our monthly meetings as well as using The Circle to connect socially with other members. Log in using the member ID given on your membership card. Complete your online profile and include a picture of yourself.

Our membership grows when students are inducted but we also have an avenue for nurse leaders to become members of STTI. If you know of a BSN prepared nurse, or nurse with an international equivalent of BSN, please encourage him or her to submit a membership application using the membership tab on this site. New members are inducted annually but they don't have to wait for induction to become active immediately. One exciting possibility for induction is to be recognized at the international induction ceremony held each biennium (next one is November, 2015 in Las Vegas). We welcome visitors to our meetings and events, so if you know of someone who might be interested, please invite them to come check it out.

The Chapter has donated $250 each to the SNA-SC and to Roper St. Francis Research Day

The Chapter thanks Lisa Langdale for a recent presentation on professional development at MUSC and her role as Manager for the Center for Nursing Professional Development. The efforts of the nurses at MUSC are commendable as they accept the challenge of magnet status as a process of excellence.
